How This Daily Challenge Works
A new 5-letter puzzle appears every day at midnight. You have 6 attempts to guess the hidden word. After each guess, tiles change colour:
- Green — correct letter, correct position
- Yellow — correct letter, wrong position
- Grey — letter not in the word
Three hints are available if you get stuck — unlock them one at a time. Your streak resets if you miss a day or fail to solve the puzzle.
Daily Strategy Tips
Start with STARE or SLATE — both test five of the nine most common letters in five-letter English words and eliminate over 60% of possible answers on guess 1. After your opener, avoid repeating eliminated letters and look for high-frequency patterns (-TION, -IGHT, -OUND) in the remaining candidates.
